handmade

Rebecca Solnit tackles subtle and explicit forms of misogyny in this collection of feminist essays, one of my favorites. I wanted to let the wonderful title speak for itself and merely amplify it with a handmade element. I used flowers as the ultimate stereotypical symbol of femininity, but took it a step further by pressing them and having the text struggle to come through, epitomizing oppression.
